Didnt find the resident cat there. The food is inexplicably better than i anticipated. No idea why but gorom luchi and alur dom took our breath away. Super expensive btw, not like a typical street food but yet it does not come cheap. Service was excellent. Asked for charging my phone, they were fast to accommodate us on rhe rooftop. Beautiful view. Wonderful location for some typical bengali get together and gosspi your time around.

Went there on 31 May 2026. Its a fantastic place to be. They dont serve meat or fish. All vegetarian menu. The food is excellent and quite good proportion. There is a shop at the 1st and 2nd floor. You will find lots of authentic products in that shop. For any kind of souvenirs, you can be there. Food is expensive though. But i will visit again.

Heritage, Culture, Folklore whatever you can say, it's an emotion. The city is hell but here you can get a soulful ambiance. The serenity of this calm place brought peace to anyone’s restless mind. You should be a passionate, deeply spiritual to the mother nature if you want to feel "Jatrabiroti"

I’ve been here many times, and it’s one of the nicest vegan restaurants I’ve visited. There’s also a small shop inside where you can find a variety of traditional items, which adds to the overall experience. I’ve tried many dishes from their menu, and my favorite is the Khichuri Platter—it’s a solid 10/10. As for drinks, I personally love the tamarind juice, while my friend prefers the coconut blend. Both are delicious. I also enjoyed the mini samosas and the masala tea. The staff are friendly and welcoming. It can get quite crowded at times, but the live music makes the atmosphere even more enjoyable. Overall, a great place to relax and enjoy good vegan food

Pretty place, pretty overpriced. We ordered- •Luchi Alurdom- 8/10. For the price they should include atleast 1 protein item in the dish or atleast increase the amount of alur dom and fruit chaat. The luchi was fried fresh, so that was good. •Khuder Bhaat- 8/10. Again, I felt for the price point they should include a protein item ,but the taste of every other item they did serve was good. The amount of the bhrotas were ridiculous, as you can see in the photos. •Komola Shundori-(Orange Iced tea) 9/10. •Coconut blend- 9/10. We asked for a straw and that the server replied that they don't use straws here. But, as you can see in the picture, when I ordered the iced tea they definitely do have metal staws but she just randomly refused to provide us. Well, for me, the main thing that stood out was the clear health code violation by having cats roaming around the rooftop restaurant. But then again nobody really cares about stuff like that in BD. They should also get better ventilation and more comfortable seating arrangements. Its an aesthetic gimmicky place and if you intend to go there make the most of it by taking alot of pictures. Hope this helps. Enjoy!

Jatra Biroti is a unique and artistic vegetarian-friendly space that stands out in the middle of the busy city life of Banani. It’s not just a café or restaurant—it feels more like a cultural hangout spot where art, music, food, and creative people come together. The first thing you notice when you enter is the atmosphere. It has a strong rustic and village-inspired aesthetic, almost like stepping into a calm rural courtyard hidden inside Dhaka. The décor is intentionally raw and artistic—wooden textures, handmade elements, soft lighting, and open creative spaces. This makes it extremely popular for photo shoots, content creation, and aesthetic reels. However, photography or professional shooting is not free. You need to pay a separate fee if you want to use the space for shoots, which is something visitors should keep in mind before going with a production setup. Casual phone photography is usually fine, but proper setups are chargeable. Food-wise, the menu is fully vegetarian. That’s one of its biggest identity points. The dishes are decent in quality—fresh, simple, and light—but not designed for heavy eaters or meat lovers. If someone is expecting rich, meaty, or spicy Bangladeshi restaurant-style meals, they might feel limited here. Instead, the food fits more into a light café-style or health-conscious category. Where this place really wins is the vibe. It’s calm, creative, and very different from typical cafés in Dhaka. You’ll often find artists, photographers, students, and creative groups hanging out, discussing work, or shooting content. It’s a good place for slow conversations, creative brainstorming, or spending relaxed time away from the usual city rush. On the downside, it may not be ideal if your main priority is food variety or budget-friendly dining, since the experience and ambiance are a big part of what you’re paying for. Overall, it’s a great spot if you want aesthetic visuals, peaceful hangout time, and a creative environment—less about heavy dining, more about experience and mood.

It was e very busy day. As it was pohela boishak. Crowded with lots of people. Entry fee was too much. They could provide hand band during entry. They asked several times that whether we bought tickets or not. Stage of putul nach was on the ground and it was very hectic for the children. The line for Painting in face or anywhere was very long . There was a bioscope facility. Children’s danced . They provided different shops to cell products. Food quality was good. Overall situation should be more joyful.
